Playa Del Carmen

Jason had his spring break from classes and we found some very cheap tickets to Mexico, so we went to Playa Del Carmen, south of Cancun for a week. It was a nice break from the snow, and we were happy to soak up some tropical sunshine. We did not take that many pictures on this trip. We were in the Yucatan for three weeks in 2007 and did a bit of exploring and pyramid sites on that trip. This was a quick, simple beach and dive trip. Significantly less built up than Cancun (Vegas by the Sea I like to call it), Playa Del Carmen is a more of a cosmopolitan smaller resort.

These three wheeled bikes are wonderful people-powered haulers of goods, people, even construction materials. They can also be ridden in areas that have been closed to automobiles.

This madona was beside our table in a simple seafood restaurant.

A trip to Mexico is not complete without a vist to a "panaderia"

Blue skies, white sands and clear ocean.
