America? You have an election today!

November 9th
We spent this morning walking about Jogyakarta.  In at least three interations with locals, after asking where we were from, they mentioned that we were having an election today!  Some were concerned that we didn't vote, so we explained that we voted before we left by mail. Others asked who we voted for and were rooting for Hillary themselves.

We paid a short visit to the  Sono-Budoyo museum which displayed a few ornate metal working pieces from the area, had an anthropological history display, as well as a traditional batik and puppet display.

There is also a former sultans palace, the Kraton, which is known for it's lavish pools, but we ran out of time to visit it.

We headed back to our room and started off on our local bus trip for the airport.  We used the airport's free wifi to see that the election results looked grim for Secretary Clinton. After a short flight to Bali, we were greeted with the news from a disappointed local, "America elected a racist president!"  (Yes the rest of the world is aware, and paying attention.)
