Afternoon in Pamukkale

We made it to the traverites that were popular in Turkey tourist photos.  Many of the hotel and pensions in town have tapped into the water and offer cold mineral water swimming pools, which was where we spent our afternoon today.

They light them up at night for free.  By the way, these travertines dwarf all others we have seen.  It is at least 1/2 mile long and probably over 200 ft tall.
